Content Upload Rules
1. Title Name.
Please try to choose a more original title to your music. The name that properly describes your music helps the consumer to get the right idea of the track he never heard. Tracks with faceless names are featureless. They usually have low attention from the audience and as a result, bad payback. So turn your music into the bright first impression, give it a beautiful name.
Example:
Bad names (“Uplifting Trance 1”,”Uplifting Trance 2”, “Uplifting Trance 3”)
Bad names (“Uplifting Trance 1”,”Uplifting Trance 2”, “Uplifting Trance 3”)
Good names ( I Have No Fear, Trance Mission, Deeply Entranced etc.)
- We don't accept track titles:
- Coincided with the name of the category. (ex. Business, Hard Rock)
- Presented in the adjective form only. (ex. Impressive, Wonderful)
- Duplicated title names of the tracks added to the Melody Loops library.
- Not creative and not original titles. In this situation we usually rename your music track on our own mind.
The description of the track has to consist at least of two phrases. The first phrase should describe what music is about, information about the mood and instruments you use to create the composition. The second phrase should describe which areas you think your music could be used.
Example: Sophisticated urban dance electronic music, like Daft Punk with synthesizers and pumping beats, sweeping effects. Great for new innovative technology, iPhone apps, high-end fashion, upbeat advertising campaigns.
3. Correct BPM.
Please verify BPM information before uploading the new track. You can use BPM counter like this http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm
4. Endless melody.
Make your music loopable (without ending, pause or fade effect). You can always attach different variations of the track. Up to 4 wav. files, including full version, short version, intro, underscore, etc. But the main file you upload at the Melody Loops music player should be edited to repeat seamlessly. Without ending, please.
If your music content has the full version, please try to upload the loop version with the length for at least 60 seconds.
For example, the full track is about 225sec, so the loop file you upload should be from 60 sec till 150 sec on your choice.
5. Loop Length.
The general length of looped files we accept is from 15 seconds until 150 seconds. It's mean that the melodic phrase hasn't been shorter than 15 sec. The More is Better.
6. Only Background Music. Not Songs, Please.
We are focused on instrumental background music with no actual lyrics. But we do accept melodies with the voice leading.
7. Don’t Add Twice.
Once your original music content has been added to the music library of Melody Loops, you have no right to upload the same music content again. If the track has been removed for various reasons and you would like to restore it, please contact support@melodyloops.com , Otherwise the violation will be punished.
If you upload several variations of the same melody theme as separate tracks, we will accept only one version on our choice.
8. Reasons to Decline
Tracks with bad sound quality, broken rhythmic pattern, poor or too simple melody line, without harmonic or melodic base will be declined.
9. Copyright
We only accept originally composed music. We do not accept AI-assisted or AI-generated music. We accept music registered with performing rights organisations (PROs), such as ASCAP, BMI, PRS or GEMA. You must be authorised to license your music through Melody Loops, accurately declare its PRO registration status, and provide the relevant PRO, writer and publisher details when uploading. Keep these details current and disclose any restrictions on direct licensing or public performance. Depending on the rights administered by the PRO and the applicable Melody Loops licence, public performance may require a separate PRO licence and additional fees. A copyright violation occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, in whole or in part, without the permission of the copyright holder. So the violators will be punished.
10. Content ID Disclosure
Registration with Content ID is permitted and does not, by itself, prevent a track from being listed or sold on Melody Loops. Registration is not required. However, accurate disclosure of the track’s Content ID status is required. For every track, you must state whether it is already registered, submitted, or planned for registration with YouTube Content ID or a similar fingerprinting, rights-management, or monetization service. This disclosure must remain accurate while the track is available for sale.
Declare the status when you upload a track. If an existing track is later submitted to or scheduled for Content ID, update it before registration or, if advance notice is not reasonably possible, within 24 hours after registration. On the Music page, select every affected track and use Set ContentID at the bottom of the page.
When Melody Loops requests a catalogue review, you must check and correct all affected tracks within 7 calendar days. Tracks with missing, inaccurate, disputed, or unverified Content ID information may be temporarily suspended from sale while they are reviewed.
You must ensure that licensed customers can use the track under the applicable Melody Loops license. Provide current claim-release instructions and administrator contact details, and release, whitelist, or otherwise resolve an invalid Content ID claim within 2 business days after notice from Melody Loops or the customer.
- No action will be taken merely because a track is registered with Content ID.
- A first failure may result in a warning and temporary suspension of the affected track.
- A repeated failure may result in suspension of new uploads and withholding of payments until the catalogue review and outstanding claim resolution are complete.
- Systematic or intentional concealment may result in removal of the catalogue and termination of cooperation.
The composer is responsible for refunds, chargebacks, replacement-license costs, claim-resolution costs, and other reasonable direct losses caused by an undisclosed or inaccurate Content ID status or a failure to resolve an invalid claim.
Melody Loops may keep a timestamped history of Content ID status changes. For affected customers, Melody Loops may help release an invalid claim, provide the claim-release instructions and contact details supplied by the composer, offer replacement music, or issue a refund when the claim cannot be resolved within a reasonable time.
11. Music Editing
The music editor reserves the recent decision to edit your track until approving it to the music library of Melody Loops.
